Very cool so I'm guessing they were going to be tearing it apart, hence the ramming speed approach to docking it.

They must be going to scrap it. It's too big to winch onto land. The pilot made a perfect turn at the last minute to align the ship so it could be threaded between the two already there. I give him two thumbs up! Then again, it could just have been the marine version of Russian road rage. Either way, I wish it had come in at 20 kts!

Well actually it just looked like that captain, (who used to crew on a fire boat), was trying to keep that fire between those two boats from spreading ?

Radar wasn't working!
Imagine a sonar bulb on the bow, could have been a real mess. At least the salvage crew has an easy start which was probably the whole idea. |
