TOPIC: New to the fleet

This is out of my normal practice,, usually buy them in the rough and completely do them our self,, this boat was done and shown by Del van emerick so most have seen it,, it is a 57 Herters Eldorado rocket,,pink/black w/ tee nee and 6 cyl merc, I know the boat and how it was done,,actually he has been our teacher and consultant here at my shop,so I am happy with the boat when I do see it,, Del sold it to Richard Hiivain several yrs ago,then lost interest or what ever I spotted it on the glassifies for sale,so I bought it,, this will pretty well complete what I wanted for the herters section of the back room,, we have a 56 alum fin,needs done, 57,58 {big fin] that are done,59 that is nice original,This is a pic I stole from Del from Mt dora show,, I wonder if Del is wanting to send me the old plaid sloame ski ,that is under the boat,,see ya Bill

Congratulations Bill. It's great to see Del's Rocket in your fleet.

I always like Del's Herters Rocket as well. Surprisingly Del has been a mentor to a lot of us over the years. I am glad it has found it's way into your collection Bill.
