TOPIC: new boat

well I got my yellow boat home. and spent an hour trying to get the pic,s down loaded in to this ##### computer. so I,ll try to post them for you to see. I think it is an early 1950,s pipestone, and was bought with this gator trailer. it has a lot of good hardware, and even a attwood wheel. let me know if you think it is a pipestone or not. thanks frog

Good Morning. I think that you are mistaken, .... it is not "yellow," but "YELLER."
Very nice find, I really like the color combination and the step-up on the front deck. Very Mid-fifty-ish. Sorry I can't help you on the Pipestone ID.

thanks for the kind words. I could not let it rot anymore, had to save it. but I,am going to sell it . boat and trailer, or will separate it. will post in glassifieds. greg

most of the Pipestone boats that I have seen have a tag by the control that has the model information on it

Charles, a friend of mine has a pipestone that looks a lot like this one. it even has the same vinyl covering around the top inside of the deck and sides. the only item I found that says pipestone is the motor plate on the transom. I know that some one could have put it on. except the p/o said it was just how he bought it. and it does not have the decals on the sides. he also said it was always yellow. when I get the 20 years of junk cleaned out I may find something that will help identify it. I would like to list it as what it really is. thanks for any help you fellows can give me. I had a 1968 pipestone princess and it had the tag and the decals. thanks greg

Tat shouldn't cost more than 3X the value of the rig.

Besides there's a 18ft GULF FISHERMAN that I have to get to Houston to pick up and the LONE STAR KING COMMANDER "tinny fisherman", too.
(It's just that I always like the Pipestone boats that I used to see up near Ft McCoy.)

Indeed excellent find. Hopefully someone will buy and bring back to life. I noticed in the background you have quite a setup there. If barn isn't totally full hide it there until your ready.
