TOPIC: ok working on a little ramp rash

ok working on a little ramp rash 10 years 5 months ago #93767

i have started on the hull now. getting ready to start panting the interior and i want to start filling the holes. no need to take short cuts now. i am using a combination of silica and resin to make a paste .. grinding out the spots with a stone on a dremel .... then filling and sanding back down. i thought about applying a coat of gelcoat back to blend in, and then primer and paint. but all in all it is good weather now. change the resin mix and sand sand sand ... i appreciate all the help and i hope i wont let anybody down.

Glad to see you're hanging in there with the project cap-n billybob, we're proud of you brother! To those just starting (or contemplating) a big project, THIS is the way to get it done - one step at a time, and don't get in a rush. ;)

You're right on about cure times being shorter in the warm weather, it makes a big difference as you know. It won't be long and we'll be looking for the fans to keep a breeze going!
