The June 13 and 14, 2014 Show I know is friendly to fiberglass and outboards. I do not know about the others.

Jag guarantees these folks are friendly to fiberglass and outboard boats and the people they own.

This is nice little show and very friendly to us Glassic aficionados. Famous Freddies serves really good food and has a great Tiki bar.
My friend Joe took 2nd place Runabout there the year before last for his pretty 1976 Lund “It’s OK”
FGC buddy Brett’s all original Glasspar Lido bought by his father when new in 1959
Sweet Glasstrons on land too.
Hey if you don’t bring a boat just come out and look for Mama Mia! I’ll have a cold one for you. We showed our Glasspar there for the first time last year and had lots of fun.
Online registration will soon be available and I will post that link.

yah, that is bad. I wouldn't swim in it or even put my boat in it. I guess i'm spoiled with all the clean lakes here in mn.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink, unless of course, it's the famous Mr Ed.
A nice cold glass of Koolaid sounds great! I'm definetly going. Thanks!

The NC Ohio ACBS show on June 28 has a "fiberclassics" category this year. Also another for outboard boats.

Dave Nau - 1966 MFG Niagara with 1963 Mercury 350 (35hp) outboard and 1966 Tee Nee trailer. Second boat is a 1962 MFG Edinboro with a 1984 Evinrude 70hp and Holsclaw trailer.

I agree frog!

Looks like Dickson didn't mind putting his "Mama Mia" in that nasty water! I'll bet that water left a "bathtub ring!" You also should have heard him whine about a little salt on his boat from the Atlantic ICW a few years ago. At least the water was clean! LOL!

John, the water in the Neuse River down in New Bern looks just like tea. All the boats have a stain around the waterline of the hull. The locals call it the Neuse river mustache.

Thanks Jim!

Yes, I had heard the Neuse River was like that. We have never run our boats up there though.

Brett on his 1959 Glasspar Sport Lido with the Fat Fifty in action following last year’s show on Pistakee Lake in Northern Illinois.
Video, commentary and laugh track provided by Glen Steinberg.
I believe this maneuver you will see demonstrated here is what is referred to as 'chine riding'.

“Putting the Lido through Her Paces”

You can select hi or standard def but be sure to give it time to spool.
View in full window and crank up it up and enjoy Brett's Ride.

Fun video,Terry. Looked like when Brett turned,he could lay his fingers over the side and touch the water. It would be very bad if a wave hit him broadside.

Wow, that is one good running fat 50. I'm impressed at how well the boat handled crossing another boat's wake at speed. Smooooth.

Thanks Seabuddy for the heads up. I have never been to a Antique & Classic boat show before. Looking forward to it. My MFG Sea Cruiser is not restored yet, but I want to share it with others and see what I can See. I will be at the Boast on the Canal in Millersport Ohio. I will take some pics.
