TOPIC: Odd Aristo Craft in PA. Prototype?

Odd Aristo Craft in PA. Prototype? 10 years 5 months ago #93432

Saw this one on a PA Craigs posting and don't think I ever saw one. Pretty cool set up. Possibly a prototype?
Craigs List link to boat posted over on Sightings.

Don't know exactly which year they started installing inboard/outboards on Aristo Craft Funliners, but they were available a few years before the '66 "Eighteens". Check these brochures out on Aristo Craft site. www.aristocraftboats.com/fiberglassbro.html

I've seen a few 18s for sale on craigslist recently. Id be tempted to go get this one but that windshield is killing me. I've started looking in to getting a mold made for mine just so i can reproduce them because Aristocraft isn't interested in fiberglass anymore. This boat could be a good project for someone.

Brian, I'm sure there would be a lot of interest in new windshields for these boats. That is the number one issue with them. jim

I'm sure Jim, mine has the troublesome cracks in the upper corners. but its nothing that cant be fixed in molding. Sidenote: thanks again for the roof pics. My canvas guy is set to get the boat after its painted to reproduce one.
