KeithG,

Which Mercruiser engine does the boat have? Also, what kind of boat?
(I can't read the nameplate.)

yours, satx

The scallop swoosh should give it away as a glastron. If you guess it reads Glastron, it is just legible on the rear corner..........

THANKS.

I'd love to have that old Cutter John but it deserves better than I can give it. I just sold my MFG. WELCOME ABOARD. :) :)

Went out and truly looked her over she has seen allot of better days that is for sure been out of water since 2000 floor is bad of course all the hardware and chrome seen very nice the gel coat has allot of crazing or cracking nothing deep just very dry. Not sure what motor it has it is a straight 6 with twin 1 bbl carbs it is a mercruiser. I was curious how difficult it will be doing a gel coat I paint cars for work so is it much different than that?

Have you ever worked on a Corvette? (Fiberglass body) Seriously, much of the prep work would be similar and you know prep work is a major factor in how the refinish turns out. Working with resin and cloth comes to you after you dabble with it a little, the gang here is always ready to help with great advice and tips. There are also numerous threads here explaining the process on different projects we've tackled, let us know when you're ready and we'll point you in the right direction.

Many of us dove into this hobby as complete novices, and were guided through the process with decent results. You can do it too, nothing ventured nothing gained!

Just giving Keith a Welcome. I was referring to the one at Ed's house. I thought it was still in the Glassifieds.
