I just bought this GlassCraft off of Craigslist. I teach school in Vegas but spend summers up in Spokane. The boat was already up in Spokane so I had my kids take it to my place up there. I've yet to actually see it in person. The seller knew nothing about the boat and couldn't/won't supply me with any more pics. Can anyone here identify the model of the boat or the trailer from this picture?

The Glass Crafts were startred in Fort Dodge, Iowa and then they built a plant in Humboldt, Iowa, my home town. The plant burned down in 1960, My father had purchased a 1960 Contessa Hard Top. Bought a new Evinrude Starflite 75. Boat was the roughest riding boat! Yours looks to be either a 1858 or 1959 vintage. Depending on length, it could be an Olympia model....

It's supposed to be a 59. I won't know the length until I can get up there and measure it. On all the models listed on the brochures in the library it shows the bow is narrowed somewhat. The boat I bought doesn't look like the bow is narrowed, at least from the one picture I have.

Hi Steve, Welcome. I am up in the Coeur d'Alene area also. Look forward to seeing the boat out on the lake. Very nice lines.

Looks a lot like our 59' Glass Craft Olympia.

Thanks Nick, I don't get over to Coeur d'Alene very often. If there is a boat show I might make it. I have a place at Deer lake about 30 miles north of Spokane.

Sounds bad but I have no idea. I had my son in law and daughter check it out, hear it run, check the floor and transom, etc. They then took the guy with his big truck and plow to store it at my Deer Lake place. There was 2 feet of snow at the place so they had quite a time. The previous owner picked it up and was just turning it for a profit so knew nothing about it other than it ran. The last registration was in 1979 so it's been stored for awhile. The kids said it was almost immaculate so we'll see. The previous owner told me he would send me about 30 pics he took of it but when I asked for the pics he ignored me. Typical profiteer once they get their money.

Are you going to work on it in Spokane or bring it to Vegas?

I have a lake place in Spokane so I'm planning on using it there. I might get another one for down here but my garage is stuffed and no place to work on one. I'm sure I'll have several before all is said and done.
