TOPIC: 1958-59 Owens Deluxe Runabout

I believe this is a '58 or '59 Owens Runabout. All the pictures I've seen, I haven't seen any with the steering column on the left. Are these boats worth anything?

FYI, VERY FEW of these boats are worth as much as it costs to restore them. - MOST of us do it for LOVE, rather than $$$$.

Trailers & outboards are often the 'value' in old boats. Unless you find 1 of the few that LOVE a particular boat.

You've got to WANT to rehab it, and the restoration cost is the price you pay to ENJOY it when you're done.

From a couple of 'still buried in the garage' pix, it doesn't look like it's a complete wreck that would best the efforts of most DIY backyard boat builders.

Welcome aboard, I hate to say but it is only worth what someone is willing to pay. One guy may just love it and be willing to pay some major bucks. But in most cases what most people see is a trailer and outboard parts. If the Fiberglassic hobby would just take off like classic cars, things would be different. Look at my post titled, "Larson???" . That is free without a trailer and I think it is an interesting boat. The money goes into the project to make money may be lost without LOVE for the boat. So value may just be considered as How Much you LOVE that boat.
