bought a 1968 duo tri hull boat, ya I know I said that I would not own a tri hull. but my 4 year old grandson wants to go fishing next summer and he said we need a boat that works. this has a flat floor and tall sides, so should be safer then a fishing boat. as you know how fast those kids are. it has a 1968 evinrude 40 hp, and a nice trailer, not a fast boat but i'll get on the water this summer and my rocket is a couple of years away from seeing a lake. frog

Congrats on the recent score Frog, you'll have to share some pics with us when you get a chance. Hard to beat a tri-hull or cat design when it comes to stability! ;)

That's the great thing about the old tri-hulls, they are great to take a small kid out in. Very stable with tall sides is a must with a little buddy in the boat.
