Nice boat I'd grab that in a second! The Wizard Motor by Mercury is quite rare. Of course it all depends on price....

I think you should pick it up cheap and deliver it to me for free. It's called "paying it forward." You'll feel much better about yourself and life in general. Really...trust me. Want my address?

And condition.............

Probably going to be hard to replace any missing accents or trim pieces......

Certainly looks to be in pretty good shape.

The library is a bit thin for Magnolia boats:

The only one that can answer the question "is it worth picking up" is you. If you like the boat, and you feel the price is right, then you should buy it, restore it to your liking and enjoy. The Magnolia is a cool looking boat in my opinion, and should get lots of attention at the lake and on the road. Hope that helps.

im just a beginner , but i would imagine it is hard to find an older boat like that complete with the motor intact, and that windshield is worth something. if it was your grandfathers, then that alone should scream fix me up put me in the water get me wet.
especially if you had went out on it with him. your uncle had kept it all this time protected , these things will not be made again, and amongst all the new models out there who wouldn't be a little envious when you pull up to the dock in something like that. look around , there are alot of people here from all over who keep a little part of their childhood alive with these old boats and can step back when it is all done and say thats mine i did that. thats my reward anyway. that boat needs a good home.

im 40 now and i never got to go out in it. But I did look at it everytime we played around the warehouse when i was a Kid. As far as i know it used to have twins on the back and one broke down so he moved the single in place , went out and it was underpowered so didnt take out again. motor was running when parted my guess is around 1970. My grandfather passed in 2004 and my uncle is now clearing out the old stuff to make room for tractors and combines.

Thanks for the words, I really want to pick it up and get it wet.
