TOPIC: global warming uh

global warming uh 10 years 9 months ago #87996

well the year i decide to start on my boat after six years , it has been one of the five wettest, and this week will have the coldest days in ten years. i'm sorry guys its all my fault. every time i start like this everything seems to pile on. i am sitting on ready i have wood sealer interlux prime-kote and brightsides top coat. everything needs a good 50 degrees of weather . woow is me. i feel for you guys everywhere else. its terrible. i have to give thanks cause we will only see a small part of all this but its still nasty. i can think of a couple of sayings, what doesn't kill ya makes you stronger, and if it was easy everybody would be doing it. i am rambling because its too cold to work on anything and i am making up for lost time, i went back 6 years of posting and i started to get into this about a year ago. so bear with me. anyway. stay warm all and we have February to look forward to. hahahaa

It could be worse today it is 4 degrees outside and its noon . Tomorrow the high will be -15, YES I said -15 degrees! I figure I should be able to start working on the boat again sometime in late April or early May lol. Until then I will just keep dreaming about warmer days to come, and looking at boats I wish I could buy.

Once in awhile, you have to bow to Mother Nature. She can have her way for the next two weeks and I don't care how her moods swing. We leave for Costa Rica Thursday morning!

To funny guys, to funny. All that we can do is wait and dream of warmer days to come, and hopefully stockpile parts for the up coming build season. My boats tarped luckily and covered in more than a foot of snow, awaiting some epoxy, motor put back in, floors, etc. cannot wait.

It was 45 here (south of Albany NY) at 7 this morning (45 degrees warmer than 24 hours ago), and supposed to be -20 windchill within 24 hours. Raining now, but soon everything will freeze up, and we may get snow.

Happy new year?

Frank

My electronic themometer only goes down to -21 F. It was blank yesterday morning with wind chill of around -50 F. By about 9 a.m. it was up to -21 and it warmed all the way up to -10 for a high. This morning it was -18 F. I think it got up to the single digits above 0 F this afternoon. I think it is going to be a while before we see any open water on the Mississippi. It is going to be tee shirt weather this weekend when it gets up to the mid 30's. I might have to crank up the furnace in the garage and crack open a beer and sit in the Thompson going VROOM VROOM !!! My wife thinks I am nuts already, I might as well prove her right. At least I will always have that for a defense in court LOL!!!!!
