I was showing my 8 year old nephew today, New Years Day 2014, some of the videos that I had put together while boating with friends and family during Golden State Glassic events that I have hosted, in our own boating sanctuary, what we call the California Delta. We had brought my nephew along a few times already and seems to love being out with my wife and I. Then I was thinking of the videos and thought how about starting a thread of our favorite glassic videos to start the 2014 just like our current popular threads. Share you favorite Glassic videos.

I'll start with the series, Fall Glassic Cruise, the Third Annual. Hope you like it.

Here's a video I made several years ago of a 1940 Elco motor yacht I restored. (Sorry for the picture quality.) OK, it's not fiberglass but it is a classic and definitely older than most. Stay tuned for the speed trial at the end of the video.

Glasspars on Wheels

“Beverly Hillbillies Christmas at the Clampetts” (1963) DVD.

A very funny episode where Mr. Drysdale gives the Clampetts a boat for Christmas. It looks like a wood boat and I can’t make out the name on the badge.

So anyway the Clampetts climb into the truck and go driving around LA looking for some water to float the boat in and there are numerous shots of Glasspars rolling on wheels.

I see a 60 Chevy pulling a Marathon or Citation.

Then there is a 60 Ford wagon towing a Seafair Sunliner with a soft top which I have never seen before and looks very sharp.

They cruise past the Starlite Marina where there is a whole lot full of Glasspars all on wheels including a couple Avalons, a G3, and a Seafair Sedan with a bimini top.

Watch for good portside shot of a Sedan pulled with a 60 Impala and thanks to Jethro for not running into it.

Also seen is a VW Bug hauling an early Lido.

The episode is on YouTube although the quality is poor. Gotta click on the YouTube logo to view.
