So I have been looking for an aluminum runabout to cruise around in. In my search I found this Aristocraft. Think it could be a worth while save if I could grab it for $400? Seems like that little Evenrude could bring that if it ran.

I personally would buy it in a heart beat, I love the look of those hard top boats. I think you would really enjoy the aristocraft nineteen, and with a price so cheap you still have room for some restoration costs. Just my opinion.

Go for it, I just picked up a 77 nineteen and can't wait to spruce I it up and get it on the water, these things are mad cool!!!!. Contact aristocraft directly for a parts list on what you will need, you can find it on their website

Cool. The reason I noticed it is when I first started looking I found a really really nice one for sale around here. Much more expensive of course. But it was pretty cool. Just a little unsure about running an inboard in salt water.

A very few of these Aristo came in the outboard version.. Yes a I/O in a classic boat is a crap shoot.. Many of us collectors can change over a outboard in short time.. If this block is seized, one starts to get into a money pit.. I would only buy a hardtop rig, shade in florida is a PLUS. Large club following being made in Atlanta , like the feather Craft. Owners come to Mt Dora / tavares show each March . Bill / gail Turner. Cost & service of a outdrive , need a friend to advise.

Maybe if you put a port in it and fluched it after every use it would be ok. Id be a little worried that it may have already been in salt and damage is done.
