I bought this boat from Brian Slager of Fla. he has had it saved for his collection for several years. It is a moulded fiberglass[possible aircraft]finished inside and out, with a mahogoney deck and interior,It has a finished sub floor panels,It was stained too dark by a mistake,,we are going to do a total redo,it doesn't need it but I am not a fan of Brown,,not the rear wood cavitation pieces are neat...it will be cocky when done, the sides are all brown that is a shadow in pic,it was made in California but not sure of the Model,Thanks Bill

Nice looking boat there. Really sweet looking windshield on it. will be nice when the wood is lighter in color. Skip.

Couldn't agree more that it's too brown...

Hello Bill,

That is an interesting and unusual boat like you say. Brian once told me the story on the staining fiasco and now I see what he was talking about.

I like the glass/wood hybrids and those upper and lower fins. They are very similar a 61 Cadillac.

You mention aircraft fiberglass and not sure what you mean. So what kind of cocky colors you got in mind and will that boat be back in Florida next March?

Terry

I am going to get on it soon,,I am uncertain on colors,I may not take anything to Fla. and just fly down,,it is a lot easier, and I think Glass will be represented well,, but I might give No name an appearance, see ya Bill

Hey Dickson,.....you better be careful posting here on Fiberglassics. Your "Daddy",..(BS) is going to be
"scolding" you for straying away from the FGC!! LOL!
He already has "warned" Al Wilson about it!

I don't think your boat is the Fleetcraft Marine Sales of California, but Fleetcraft, Inc. of Woodbine, New Jersey. Also found in Palmyra, New Jersey (1956) and earlier in Philadelphia, Pennsyvlania (making fiberglass boats in '52).

Here is another '57 Fleetcraft that turned up in the past:

Bill, Cute little boat - perhaps somewhat styled off the Chris Craft Silver arrow.

Hi Bill, I have one and pretty sure the model is an Imperial. I am a list of 4 others that have one if you wish to get in touch, Paul
