She starts chine walking around 52 or 53 MPH, so I keep her under 52 these days. She's no show stopper, but she does put a smile on my face. Check this box to be notified of replies to this topic. Glad y'all enjoyed the ride, BTW. That hull was designed with a little hook in it as I understand, for safety reasons. (?) It was designed as a ski boat, not really a "speed" boat. I think I've found the maximum velocity for the design, and really don't need to go any faster. I've been told that raising the motor another notch would help, but she's so much fun to drive like it is I hate to mess with it.

I planned to take the Custom Craft out for one last run.flush out before the end of the season on Sunday. The weather was forecast for reasonably warm and sunny. I headed out for a lake about 25 miles away. The sky in the distance looked a little dark, but I dismissed it. About half way there, it started to rain. Seriously rain. I decided to opt for a smaller lake away from the clouds that is a little closer. Got about 2 miles from there and it started to rain. Option 3 was a lake in town with an hp restriction, but could get away with a 1/2 hour run, but it started to rain before I got there. Went home and got the boat in the garage right as it started to rain at home. Again, no rain predicted. Oh well, next year.

Thanks for your reply Mark! I figured you were running close to or over 50MPH!! LOL!

I still think you have one of the nicer Glastrons I have ever seen.
Our neighbor had one like yours and I always liked that boat alot.
Hopefully, you can attend one of our events in N.C. next year so we can all see it!
