TOPIC: Dick Schuster Tahiti

Last summer I wrecked my Glen-L Missile go fast boat. Waiting just about a year I am back in the running with the aquisition of a Dick Schuster Tahiti. It's a 1977 hull with a similar vintage in line Merc 1150. Needs an interior and mechanicals, but I'm well on the way to getting bugs in my teeth again. Add this to the Holiday project and I have my winter cut out for me.

Thanks Mark! It's been a little crazy around here. Typical the older you get the faster it goes. But it is good to be back and I will try to stay better connected to the site on the Tahiti and Starcraft project.

Nice project! Maybe twin 1150's? Here's some images from what looks to be an earlier catalog. Maybe this can help with the interior, or are you going to go custom? Good luck, I know you'll do it right.

Actually, the seats shown in your ad material are exactly what was in the boat based on original owner photos. They are back to back with a center walk thru, but not not sun lounger. They did not come with the boat, and I've never seen anything like them in a marine catalog. But I'll figure out what to do for an interior. Thanks for posting that information. Your library never ceases to amaze me. So.....got anything on a 1962 Starcraft Holiday?

Seriously , i would like to see the dash area of your Tahiti. I am going to be hauling one home along with a Reinell in a week or two and am very interested in any info that can be shared .
