TOPIC: Day #1 ,Glastron 16 CVX - MERC O/b

Today was finally day # 1 our our ski boat project for 2013. .Yes
I know it could have been started in April since I had the two parts, but we were chain sawing trees in yard.. Also kept hoping for the carport contractor, but ended up doing that job ourselves.
Half of the metal shop in up in back yard. . The two short shaft Merc four cyls have been sold & left garage,, so it is finally time
for the other three motors.
East Tenn has two weeks for our South Knoxville (Louisville) show
& will try to get this 65 hp motor running.. Not too many wires
are corroded so there may be hope.. Still have to look in cabinets
for a colored Cowl band Wrap(?). Have another top hat, faceplate.
A few props, etc. Did not reg the boat yet, Seats are inside.
Should have a very good shift / control box. Will try & ATTACH

DAY #2 of the project has us changing out a bad STARTER.. Not a
easy chore..Got a loaner compression dial gauge from Auto Zone.
The four #'s range from 100 - 115 psi.. No visible spark yet.
So tomorrow will drop the mag cap & clean the posts ,rotor,
better coil wire connection..Sample at least one new fuel pump
diaphram.. This block has two housings. Continue to tighten brackets, clean wire tips.. I took the rear seat frame out as it
is very heavy. Looks like 2 x 8's pressure treated. Need to build /
fab a rotating console for the front two buckets. Some of the white fabric is cleaning up .. Some sill get a accent stripe.
. The metal carport in rear got the back frame brace on Sunday
pm.. Metal roof lady places here orders on Wed noon, & delivery could be friday. ! That will be darker Barn Red color. Not sure of the end material yet. Will have the two side wings. 17 1/2 foot Sedan boat in in the background. Glasspar.
