Hello Seabuddy,

We have a pretty big show with usually around a hundred boats.
The Abbey Resort is the perfect setting for a boat show with a protected lagoon and all amenities on site. Geneva Lake is sized at 5500 acres, 9 miles end to end, 3 miles at its widest point and its deepest point is a152ft. The lake great for cruising with many sights and is also very clean being spring fed.

Come see us at the Abbey next month,
Terry

My 1962 Buehler will be making its debut there this year! Unfortunately I can't make it personally because I do a charity event in Texas during that time. I hope whomever goes can give some feedback on the restoration.

Great to be on board.

Thanks Guys,

So Rick, should I look for the Buehler on land or in the water? Looks like an interesting boat.

Hello Terry,

I'm not sure. I'll have to ask the guys displaying it. Once I know I'll post. The trailer was restored also, so either way it should show nicely.

It is two days of travel out with arrival on the third day. Similar thing back, for me. Thus a seven day show commitment for me, with two full days at the show. I would leave on a wed and get into the Abbey on Friday afternoon. See the show Sat and sun and get on the road late sun afternoon. I would get home for following Tuesday night.

"The Geneva Lakes Boat Show is an annual event held in the Abbey Resort's harbor, presented by the Blackhawk Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society. Scheduled this year for September 28- 29, the Show will feature classic and vintage boats from all over the country. Boats are on display Saturday and Sunday and viewing is free to the public. A boat parade is also scheduled for Saturday."

To all, The Lake Geneva Show is just a wonderful event. You will not regret the travel time it may take any of you to attend. I personally have attend this fine event 6 times with 6 different boats over the years. You can rest assured that you will be treated like kings and queens by the Blackhawk Chapter ACBS membership, they are a fine bunch for sure. If my XK22 were done I would not miss this event, however ,next year will have to do as the old Chris just won't be ready in time.
Terry, please give my best regards to Larry Lang and others.

The Annual ACBS Blackhawk Chapter Geneva Lakes Boat Show
The Abbey Resort, Fontana WI, Sept 27 – 29th

Just a reminder that registration for the Genva Lakes show closes on September 10th.

So far there are 4-classic glass boats that have registered in time for the program listing. Although I am sure we will see more come show time.

www.genevalakesboatshow.com/Entries

Come on up or down or over to beautiful Fontana Wisconsin for a fun weekend on the truly magnificent Geneva Lake.

Hey Seabuddy, are you going to bring a Glasspar? Yours would make it three with John Vass’s G3 and my Sedan.

And Shelby18, hope to see your Buehler there.

Jag, The late night icy R&C and stogies out on the dock just won’t be the same without your company. Hope you and your honey can make next year.

Please let me know who plans to come. Otherwise just look for Mama Mia!

Thanks,
Terry

Mr. Dickson:

For your information, Seabuddy, AKA: Chris Brown does not own a
Glasspar Boat. The G-3 he is in on this link was my 1960 Glasspar G-3 Skiboat which I promised he could ride and drive at our East Coast Glasspar Event @ Falls Lake, N.C. back in July.

www.seabuddyonboats.com/motors-and-power/classy-speedster-in-a-get-em-wet/

However, Chris' family did own a Glasspar G-3 when he was growing up.

Unfortunately the Buehler will not make it. My restorers wife will be in for back surgery during that time. And I'll be in Texas for a charity event. In any event we hope to have the first entry into the water this month. Photos will be posted in the restoration thread.

Hello All,

We now have 6-Classic Glass boats officially registered to show.

Pleased to see Bill Anderson will be there with his beautiful 1959 South Seas Samoan - 'Blu By U'. I had the opportunity to go for a ride with Bill on the Rock River last month and this boat is a blast.

Hoping to see KevFin there too with something strange as usual.

Nearly a hundred boats have been entered. For some unknown reason they moved my Glasspar Sedan from the Fiberglass category into the Classic Cruisers.
