TOPIC: Part 5 of the 1976 Chrysler Carvel Restoration

Part 5 of the 1976 Chrysler Carvel Restoration 11 years 1 month ago #82573

I didn't post part 3 and 4 but if your really bored look them up on YouTube

Man I'm exhausted. What have I done. What am I doing ??

I dunno but I am not looking back.

Problem is now I've got to get the transom, floor, stingers and foam installed. I was going to pay someone to do it but every person with the exception of one literally doubled and one tripled his quote over the phone.

So............... Anyone in the Upstate South Carolina area know how to fiberglass and wants to help ?

I decided to works on the engine. Wow first time changing the oil from an engine with 25 + year old crap. Barely got the oil filter off. But after rebuilding the raw water pump, rebuilding the carbs twice, a nice engine wash on the outside, new starter motor and ring gear for the flywheel she purrs like a kitten.

So without further ado here is Part 5 of the Restoration - WARNING !!! Its nearly 18 minutes long but I feel its worth watching.

All in all its coming along very nice. I even got a chance to compound the stern and starboard side of the hull.

Thanks,

Chad

Chad:

Glad to hear that you've decided to restore instead of selling. If you run across a portion that requires our help, let me know. Best of luck...keep working at it like an ant. You'll get there! Free advice always available by phone.
