Hi all,

My Evinrude Playmate "Miss July" will be my show boat this year at the Whitefish Antique boat show at Moonlite Bay in Crosslake MN. The show is July 27 from 9:00 to 3:00

www.whitefishchainboatshow.com/

If you are in the area, it is s good show. Mostly wood though. 1965 is the cut off so I just made it in! Newest boat in the show!

I don't recall 80,88 or 90 HP, but yes, basically. It has plenty of power that I can cruise/plane about half throttle which saves a ton of fuel. I have a pretty steep prop on there too, so it would be useless for water skiing, but it moves right along after it pops up on top of the water. The gull wing hull does ride nice and high compared to a regular v hull.

I have a friend that has an OMC boat under restoration. He gave a well-attended seminar talk on it and what he labeled as a budget approach to classic boat restoration. His is an outboard, BTW.

Chris Craft made some of these Gull Wings after OMC stopped. They are a good running boat.

Milwaukee, I have a problem......

It says to run the bilge pump/blower before starting so I did. I usually just hear the air, but this time a bunch of water came out. Odd. I thought. So I took off for a ride and just to be on the safe side bumped the pump again. Again a bunch of water came out. I have a leak! I thought. SO I went back to see if the drain plug had come loose. No, but all the water sloshing around was hot! I figured it had to be coming from the motor. I started looking around and saw the problem. A cover on the motor between the stern drive and the engine block was spraying water out of it. It had cracked from ice freezing over the winter.

The question is....how do I winterize a DU stringer drive? THere is not drain plug I can see on the motor.

THanks

Todd
