This was originally posted in the Regional Forum for FGSE.

Saturday July 20th 9 am Falls Lake just north of Raleigh NC. Just a fun get them wet day of boating for Glassics, Classics and any one else. In other words bring what you float. There is a NC State ramp on NC 50 north of NC 98 just west of US #1 near Wake Forest NC.
Falls lake is a beautiful fresh water lake. There is a marina nearby. Please see the post in the FGSE forum for pic's and directions. Looks like 7 boaters are planning to be there. Crestliners and Glasspars so far. See you there.

Chris, Would a g3 do??? It appears that we will have at least 3 g3's
2 60's and a 67. Of course if it gets hot there are 2 Seafairs planning on being there. Both the Crestliners are runabouts. Hoping for more and greater variety of boats as the time approaches.

Al,...thanks for posting our event up here!

I was asked by Chris Brown (seabuddy) to post a list of hotels in and around the Falls Lake, N.C. area for anyone needing one.

Here is a link for some of the closer hotels near the lake. They range in price from about $50.00 a night to over $100.00 a night and have "star ratings" so you can decide what would be best for you and your families. Here is the link:

63 Aristocraft is a nice boat. Have one near me the old guy just won't sell. It looks sweet especially under power in water.

Al,I'm going to do my best to get over there on the 20th cause I've never seen a G3 or many other vintage boats in person. Looks like a cool boat. Not many glassics around here(Asheboro),but I did see a 58? Glastron Seville cruiser at Badin lake a few years ago.

Chris:

My Wife and I won't get up to Falls Lake with our boats until early on the morning of the 20th. But,...I will check with our crew and see if they will be there the night before so maybe you can all meet up somewhere in the area.

Also, I think I sent you a copy of an e-mail I got from the "Raleigh/Durham Anitque Boat Owners Association" and they are planning on bringing some boats, so maybe you could hook up with their group too.
