Well, here's the latest: 1969 Bertram 25 sport fisherman, twin 470 4-cylinder inboards...so no outdrives getting in the way of landing fish! Everything is original and complete, engines pickled a few years ago...$2,500. What am I going to do with it? Hell...I don't know. I live in the mountains but I was bombarded by just too much logic.

Those Bertrams were great boats. Saw a lot of them in use offshore in Florida years back. Real fishing machines.

I'm in that same logic loop as you. Got my eye on a Wellcraft V20 that was down to $3,000 and is now $2,800 obo. My problem is, there's not a lot of big water in New Mexico for a rig this size. But what a boat for the money. (but that rocket launcher would have to go)

Unfortunately, the marlin haven't been biting in Lake Keowee for quite awhile. However, the Bertram will allow me a place to sleep during the times I'm kicked out of the house for "bad behavior." Isn't it strange how a woman marries you for who you are and then spends the rest of her life trying to change you? Just look at me...What else could a women want? I don't get it.

I just don't know. You buy her a real nice boat like that and they just don't seem to appreciate it. Next time buy her a new toaster or something I guess.

Heck buy her something that will get used (who uses a ironing boards now days). A new sander or a drill. Maybe a grinder or a buffer if you were really bad
