TOPIC: Yet Another Barn Find !

This must be the year for good deals. I found an "old ski boat" on Craigslist. It a 1960's Correct Craft Ski Nautique, complete, 318 Chrysler engine free but the boat needs a good cleaning and the usual fix-ups. I met the woman's price without haggling...$300. The problem is that there is no paperwork other than a hand-written bill of sale. Since it's obviously pre-1972, the serial number is not pressed into the transom; it's on a data plate near the helm. It reads "SN 1654." So...What have I got here? Can anybody tell me the year of manufacture or give me a good guess? Can't attach photos...camera went into the bilge on Saturday. Yes, I cursed alot.

Since the company is still very much in business, I recommend getting in touch with them. They may have records dating back to those days.

Turns out to be an early 1970...rounded windshield. Engine and hull excellent, floor and stringers shot. I figure it's still a good deal...I know somebody that can fix it for cost!
