TOPIC: Just came across this on CL.......

Anyone have any idea on what the boat is in the middle of the three in this photo? These are all for sale on my local CL.

Yes, an OMC SeaSport. Judging from the rounded driver-only windshield, probablty a 1964. So where is it and how much are they asking?

No price listed just "Make offer". I sent the guy an e-mail asking about it's condition but haven't heard back yet. May just have to call the number listed. Headly any idea on it's condition. Might save me gas if it's in bad shape.

Thanks, I sold off my old flat bottom. Then saw this and how different it looked. If the price is right and the condition is good it might be worth taking a stab at it.

This is a very good candidate for restoration. It is hard to do a complete review, I spent all of 5 minutes with the boat. No one was there at the time so I did not poke around too much. I am going to assume it has the original motor, it looks all original. I don't think it has been painted. It looks like the original gel coat, pretty beat tho. The hardware is all there but fading and cracked. The helm is in fairly decent shape. The windshield is crazed, don't think it will be usable. The lens' are on the lights, the dash is all there. All is there but it would take a lot of elbow grease to bring her back.

I almost drove up there this weekend but I sold my Blazer and spent the rest of the weekend car shopping. Thanks for the leg work.

Chances are it has a V6 Jeep or Buick engine & those are simple, cheap on fuel & the parts are available.
