I would like your opinions on this.....

The big, black '68 Merc makes the boat appear too modern, IMO. I was thinking about giving it a retro paint job in aquamarine to match the topside. My friend has a sign co and he could wrap the "wrap" with chrome.

Here is an example of chrome wrap. He has also changed the color of his own boat hull twice with this method.

Is this a bad idea? Sacraligeous? Don't hold back! You won't hurt my feelings!
