Well my resto is complete, for this year at least. She got the royal treatment... new (old) parts and technology. Really all I did was install a new stern light, stereo, led lights in the gunwales, and a dual gas tank setup. She's now in the water and running like a top. Here are some pics.

Thanks everyone, she rides really smoothly even with a little chop on the water. After the seasons over she's getting torn down and painted some 60s green/blue color a over the rub rail. I'm also still scouring the interwebs for a hardtop, but no luck yet. Cheers!

There was a guy in Greensboro, NC that had one or two of those tops I'm thinking he would sell. If your interested, I'll see if I can dig up his number for you. jim

Looks so nice! I spent 3 hours at the NY DMV last week trying to gegister mine, and was missing one bill of sale from the 1980's even with a signed registration I couldnt get it registered... going to try to Register it again tonight... If I cant get it registered I have a hard top That will need a home.... I am hoping I dont need to go that rout.

Great looking boat!

Its the original... I used Meguiars plastic polish and a small drill buffing wheel. It took a few coats but it came out really nice looking.

Thanks for tips. Cuz most people do wet/dry sanding then buffing. but your doing different. Im think doing that way and sound like alot easier than wet/dry sanding then buffing.

Im curious what HP on your boat?

Its a Merc 650 65hp and it pushed the boat well enough for me. The reverse gear actually just stopped working last month. Its gonna cost more to fix it than to replace it so it looks like I'm in the market for a new motor. Just as well cause I'm tired of using pre-mix.

Oh thats sucks. Hope you will find one motor. My motor need rebuilt lower unit. Im going do that with my friend help me to rebuilt the lower unit. You should go up to 85hp. Its push pretty fast! my top speed is 42 mph. I use my boat to pull water ski, wakeboarding, tubing and knee board.
