Anyone here have any experience with the retractable brackets for small gas outboards? Looking at some made by Garelick. Wondering why so many models specify 2 stroke only. There's one made for up to 8 hp 2 stroke motors for a reasonable price. I have a 6 hp Nissan 4 stroke that is pretty lightweight. It would be nice to have a get-back-to-the-dock motor mounted.

Get one made for a 4 stroke. 4 strokes ARE heavy! (Why I'm keeping all my light 2 strokes!) They make'em

Love two strokes. I had several 9.8 Mercs back in the day, and a great Yamaha 15, on a 12 foot aluminum. Should'a kept that one.
