TOPIC: Boat Identification and Information

Boat Identification and Information 11 years 6 months ago #76011

Hi, I bought this boat last summer and plan to get to restoring it this summer.

I have never seen anything like it to be honest.

I posted the pictures on Scream and Fly and Fastboatscanada and got some interesting history on the boat. I know it is old as someone on the forum found it abandoned under someones cottage 20yrs or so ago and brought it back to life.

Really hoping to find out some information on this boat. It would be amazing to find some pictures but I won't hold my breath

Thanks for any help

Kevin

Looks exactly like a GW Invader 8-footer. Splash copies were made by Columbia, etc. If it is a GW, there should be a serial number located underneath the motor well (on the underside of the lip just behind the seat - use a hand mirror or crawl in upside down). There are pix of similar ones on the yahoo groups GW Invader site.

We had one for several years. Lots of fun. Expect to get very wet.
