I need to have a couple of aluminum trim pieces recast for the Glastron. I had the name of someone (I think in seattle area) who would do it, but I lost the link during a computer crash. Does anybody know of a company that would do this?

Hi Tutor,

It might have been my posts... I used these guys to replicate splash well trim (also surrounds the transom eye) for my G3... mine was missing. I borrowed a couple of pieces from Doc Frankenmerc and sent them in. They cost me $16 each to have done. Being sand cast (as opposed to die cast), the surface was a little rough but with some fine grit sanding and polishing, they are as good as new parts.

WoW, For that price why would anyone try to do them themselves?

I know KevFin can do them, but I don't think he could do them that inexpensively, and he's pretty busy now what with projects and a wedding. :)

I've thought about trying it myself, but not if they can be done that reasonably!
