TOPIC: need info on a comtemporary Yamaha

One of my uncles has moved on to the next world, and I am certain is presently sitting in his saloon on perfect waters, cold beer, blazing sunset.

He left behind a 8hp two stroke Yamaha, Model and such below. extremely low hours, fresh water only,with a skeg and prop that clearly have never touched bottom.

Where can I go to get info such as year of the motor and figure out the value here in the upper mid atlantic (Delaware)

info on the tag: yamaha 8MSHU 6G1 S , and i think the serial # is 057875 X

Value-wise, probably best to check your local Craigslist and see what they're going for, and price yours accordingly. It should carry a premium price, considering the low hours and pristine condition.

Five years ago or so I put my 2003 Honda 8 hp up for sale with my 58 MFG boat with fishfinder, and everything needed to get on the water in five minutes and got offered $600. I still own them and I'm glad it didn't sell.
