On March 15 & 17 one of the AOMCI members is thinning out his stock. I been to John's house and seen many motors that I would like to own, however I am settling on two One that I saw and am not going for is a nice looking 58 Bigtwin elect start.

All are welcome to come

Here is a partial list; for many others are bringing motors to sell

TallTexan,

Did you go to the show/sale, yesterday and/or today?
(I had planned to attend but woke up feeling "pretty rocky", due to Cedar Fever, so instead I'll make the Canyon Lake gathering in late April.)

IF you made it over to Industry, HOW was the sale?

I was at the sale both Fri and Sat. I took some motors to sale and end up coming back with a boat and more motors than I took.

There was a Sea King motor that I thought that you would show up and grab. It was one of those 12 hp that has the key that you use to set it for lower hp for lakes that have a max hp. It started off at $50 and at 12:00 Sat the seller marked everything 1/2 price. The guy picked it up for $25.

I hung around till the end and picked up many things (mostly knobs on junk motors)for free because many did not want to take it back home.

TallTexan,

YEP, I would have taken that SeaKing home for 50.oo (or better yet for 25.oo!!!), IF it was half-way usuable.
Did you see any other Gales or Sea Kings???

FYI, I'm going to make the next sale with a pocket full of 20.oo bills, as I'm looking for a GALE/SeaKing 35-60HP OB for me and a good/cheap 30-40HP OB for my cousin's "remuddled", rather than restored, BIG, deep, wide Eldocraft.

PS: TT, if you should run up on a decent/freshwater Gale Sovereign OR a nice 25HP Buccaneer, I'd be a buyer!

TallTexan,

BTW, I'm "negotiating on" a FINNED 15.5' aluminum utility hull (I don't have the faintest notion of who made it but it looks mid-late '50s.) for about 100.oo, so I may have another JUNKER to re-do, soon.= Pretty slick looking design on that little utility, too.

I have a nice 25 hp 1956 Gale (with the manual) that came with my Helton. I have done nothing to it, for I was going to put a Javelin on the Helton when I got the boat in shape for a motor.
