TOPIC: Stinger??

I have spotted a boat/motor/trailer in a shed on private property and have not been able to contact the owner yet.
Looks to be in the 14'-15' range, flat bottom with sponsons,and it says "Stinger" on the side. Square, flat nose. Looks like a red stripe long shaft Merc 1150 on it.
Question is, who makes this one? Pictures?

After a little digging this is what I found. This is not the boat that I found in the shed though.

I think the model name "Stinger" has been used on a number of boats from various brands over the years. Got photos of the boat you looked at?

Scott, it is on private property in a shed with the door about 3/4 open and I have not caught the guy home yet. So no pics or info yet.

Neil, The Stinger was a model built by Ebko Idustries in Hastings, Nebraska by Bill Evers. We had on on our lake in Iowa. Most of them that I have seen were solid color Metal Flake, smoked wrap- around low profile windshield and a woodgrain applique on the rear stern quarters. I have a close friend of mine who has one torn apart and ready to restore. There were quite a few around the midwest. I hada close friend who sold them in the early 70's in South Sioux City, Nebraska. The one on our lake was purple metal flake, and had a Merc 135. Black interior and was so cool! Lucky find and keep us posted on your next hopeful aquisition!

I am chomping at the bit to have a look at this boat, but I cannot catch the guy home. I am thinking that he has been gone for awhile.
What I can see without tresspassing is minimal. The last reg. was 2011. Thanks for all of the info. Waiting. Waiting!!
