son in law trade a jeep for this boat.he wants to restore to like new.any information or pictures will help.we can find very little on squall king and nothing on a cuddy cabin at all.can any one help.

In 1960, Squall King had two cruiser models: the Sea Mate and the Sea Rambler. The Sea Mate was 18'3", the Sea Rambler 16'2". It seems these were renamed the Emperor and Empress models for 1961 and 1962. The suggested retail price in 1961 for these models was $1667.00 and $1249.00, or $11823.25 and $8858.57 in equivalent 2009 dollars. An outboard motor might have tacked on another $4000 to $5000 in 2009 dollars. Not entirely a bad deal to buy used boats that are in running condition.
