TOPIC: 1958 color palette

does anyone have a 1958 color palette for boats...i'm looking for a darker color for my weekend runner...due to the fact that I will be running it in a river that is known to leave stains on your boat

What type of boat? Check in the Library section and see what the catalog says. I do know that several manufacturers offered dark blue.

In the 1958 Herters Marine catalog the following colors were available for Flying Fish and Mark III runabouts, Tanager Red, Jet Black, Marine Green, Bermuda Blue, Teal Blue, Flamingo Pink, and Sea Green.
I attached the color palette from the 1961 Summer Herters catalog. This was the first catalog to show the actual colors available in palette form, and the colors listed above are in there along with some newer optional and hunting boat colors. Oddly, white was not listed in the 58 or 59 catalogs, and did not show up as an available color until the Fall/Winter 1960 catalog.

Thanks..I think i'm gonna with either "medium buff" or "Navy blue"....medium buff and white would be close to orginal...but I love Navy blue!
