TOPIC: Bringing the Dorsett along!

Hi guys, Just wanted to give a update on a Catalina a friend and I went in on. First time restoring a boat and got to say it's going better that I thought it would. Here's a picture of it and got to say we're both kind of like proud dads showing the boat to other guy's! It's funny, a couple of them at first said " why would you want such a old boat" and now their looking on CL for one of their own! Also, we got this Powercat and was going to take a engine off to put on the Catalina but soon realize that wouldn't work. I think we will resale the Powercat to finish the Dorsett.

Monte - be sure your picture file is formatted correctly. Best bet is to use a JPEG between 100 and 500 Kb go to "Edit" of your post and go to the box for adding a photo. see the area on the bottom of the post "image file to attach" and click the box marked "Browse" & scan your computer/ phone / whatever for the file you want. when you hit submit - you have to wait for it to upload the pic. It can be slow, so be patient. If you want to see if the photo uploaded, do not refresh your screen - it is best to select "back to the forum" or "back to the subject/post" The board is cranky and does not like the refresh screen action - as this will often create a double post. Hope this helps.

Looks good, I just finished mine as well, its a 1962 and the colors are just opposite yellow on the top and white bottom. It is the I/O with the Volvo Penta engine. We are in AZ, where you folks at?
