TOPIC: Another South TX find!!!

Another South TX find!!! 11 years 8 months ago #74060

To ALL,

Just found a (maybe 1965 model) GLASSPAR 15' runabout SN:81583 8068523 on a usable (shop-built) trailer with a (1965 i think) Evinrude 60HP OB Model 60552C SN: EO1165.

I cannot find my book on model/serial numbers, so would someone look them up for me?

THANKS.

yours, satx

TallTexan,

THANKS.

Do you know what year the hull is?
(I was reasonably sure that it is a '65 OMC 60horse.)

TT, this little rig is "all in one piece" & I think complete.

Handy Andy & Friends,

I sent emails to the Classic Glasspar club & NEVER got an answer.
(OH WELL.- they don't know me from Adam's housecat.)
IF anyone here happens to have a serial number list for GLASSPAR, I'd really like to know the year of manufacture. I think that it's a 15'10" AVALON.

satx,as usual,a pic or two would help. as for the serial number you gave,it is probably a reissue number since a serial number from a 65 glasspar would be 8 digits. the original serial number would be on a small,1.25inx2.5in,brass plate. i do have a 67 glasspar sedan that had a longer serial number from the factory,but that is from the time period when larson first bought glasspar.
the glasspar serial numbers are easly read. here is an example.
16GC4045
16 = length
G = model,in this case a super g
c = build plant,this one is california
4 = year built,1964
045= 45th one built in the model year.
hope this helps,skipp
