TOPIC: Wards Sea King motor

Wards Sea King motor 11 years 8 months ago #73450

I'm supposed to sell this thing but I haven't got a clue about this one. A lot of the information is worn off. I can tell it's a Wards Sea King, I'm guessing 1940s, but is it 5hp? 3hp? Any info you can give would be great. And no, I don't know if it's running (it's lying on the floor in the warehouse I sell out of) but is it good for parts then? Help help help!!!

Looks like a late 1940's 5hp. I have one like it. Fairly common, not rare, nice runners. Paid $20 for mine, just needed points cleaning to run. What are your plans for yours? If you can find a plaque with model and serial numbers, they can help pinpoint the year.

Sorry to take so long to answer. We were going to list it on Craigslist. So far can't find a plaque on it, but I found a mark saying it is a Twin Sea King, does that help?
