TOPIC: Silverlining, Inc. / Marine Fiberglass Products

Here's a new one for the Library: Marine Fiberglass Products / Silverlining, Inc. of Costa Mesa, California.

I learned of this company from a 1958 ad in the Los Angeles Times (see below). Not much else uncovered yet besides a brief blurb from a 1958 Westways magazine available in Google Books: "Built of reinforced Fiberglos by Silverlining, Inc., of Costa Mesa, Calif., and displayed at their 2188 Harbor Blvd. showroom, the boats feature remarkable handling ease, no-pound riding in rough water and excellent speed with either single or ..."

Also in the Los Angeles Times, I found a 1963 classified ad for a "Silverlining 14' cat." I am assuming this company used "Silverlining" as the brand for their 14' and 18'6" fiberglass catamarans.

Makes you wonder if there is one out there somewhere.

Wizard Boats, Inc. was located at 2075 Harbor Blvd. in Costa Mesa. Would that be across the street and one block away from Marine Fiberglass Products, 2188 Harbor Blvd?

Glasspar was at 2232 Harbor Blvd. in Costa Mesa.

Laminated Plastic Products Co. was at 19666 So. Harbor Blvd in 1949.

Okay, new information from the 1960 Sheler's Outboard Boat Price Pilot. This guide lists "The Cloud Line" models from 1957 to 1959. Company name is given as Silverlining, Inc. with address as 2537 Greenbriar Lane, same as the trademark registration:
