It's a 14-footer...seems complete and solid. Check those "wings" sticking out from the sides. Comes with an old 75HP Evinrude that's halfway apart and a trailer good enough to tow it home. Think it's worth $400?

Looks like a good deal on a great find to me! Very interesting design too Jan, was it an S.C. boat?

Interesting lines and I love the hardware. How is the transom and stringers and floor feel? I'd try to ask for less. Never know!

I haven't gone to see the boat yet. These are photos the owner sent me and he has no idea what it is. The boat is in SC but who knows when/where it was manufactured? My guess as to age would be somewhere around 1958-1960. I think it's a really interesting design and probably worth restoring. Even if the decking is shot, I can re-do it "wholesale" if/when I ever get the time.

Some more photos would be helpful- maybe an overall view from the side.

I'd sya it's probably a good deal, especially if the floor and transom are solid. If the transom is soft I'd shoot for $200/250 if you really want it. Of course I'm kind of cheap so........

Very cool hull line. Does the 75hp run or at least turn over?

I talked to the guy. He seems to be a straight-up guy...honest enough to tell me that the floor is shot, transom soft and engine apart. Unfortunately, he wants $575 and he figures that's a fair price. Maybe, but not for me. Restoration costs would be double or more than I could hope to sell it for when finished. Without a motor and in that condition, I figure half his asking price is closer to it's value...$300 tops. Oh well, can't own 'em all!

I'd still like to know what it is I'm turning down though! C'mon, you guys!

Well, I worked a deal we could both live with so whatever it is, I now own it. It's very different and different is good...and I guess that's why we fool with these fiberglassics in the first place. Wish me luck. I'll need it to make up for my lack of karma!

Congrats on the deal, and good luck with the project Jan. From what we've seen of your work, you don't need the luck just the time to get it done! If I ever get over into your area, I'd love to come by and check out some of your beautiful craftsmanship in person. ;)

Stop by anytime. The shop fridge is always loaded with Dos Equis dark and Beck's. Serious B.S. is also served.

.. We sort of give up , not able to match any library pics of the side pods.. There must be a outline of prior hull State REG #'s , just get a scan at the D.M.V.. ?? I saw that Blue ad under the Glasspar banner from the Insurance salvage yard, north Ga.. Deck does have a Avalon look , but not Glasspar .
. Era does look 58 - 60 & the side sponsons have the NYLOX copy
look of the G-3.. Hard to think a California boat makes to east coast. ?
.. TOMAHAWK is one mfg that is showing those oval bulkhead
glove box cut out holes, cable pulley trannsom holes, etc.. there
are numerous 14 ft models for 1959 (?) . Also that mfg was showing
a prototype pic for the airplane fus-a-lodge trial so maybe had a
lot of one year wonder models. ?? When it comes time for a DMV
I would guess 1959 Tomahawk .! or a 1960.
