I would like a cruise in the Dorsett Farallon and a Powercat DC18 and someone elses Tomahawk Skimate.

What are your dream boats.

Odd that you should ask. - Last night at the BEETHOVEN MAENNERCHOR CLUB here in SA, a group of us started talking about "the ones that got away".

The one that I'd really like to have back was the 16.5ft all white cypress Edwin Monk-designed FISHERMANS SKIFF that my Uncle PeeWee built for me in 1956, The SeaKing OB that my dad bought me for Christmas in 1957 (I was already running about a half-mile of trotlines & peddling catfish around the county by then.) & the trailer that he & my dad built to haul it in 1960, when i finally got a car.

NOTE: By the time that I went to college, I was selling about 200# of dressed fish a day.
(I think that our success in "merchandising"had something to do with how well "duckie" looked in short-shorts & a teeshirt. = CHUCKLE.)

Peddling fish surely beat flipping burgers/serving pizza/pumping gas/mowing lawns/etc to get us both through college.

I would like a cruise in my first boat... that I bought when I was 26 years old (1939 Chris Craft 17 foot deluxe runabout).... that I still have, sitting on it's trailer..... in the garage I'm now 51..... Some day, I'll get that cruise ???? Or the new old boat, 1958 or 59 Sea Fury !

I would like to cruize in a 1949 Mercury, chopped, channeled, lowered, primered in black, tuck and rolled interior, fuzzy dice hanging from the mirror, and a pony tailed wife in a poodle skirt sitting alongside. Don't forget the blue dot tailights.

Right at this moment any boat on water warmer than 70 degrees. Just in case you were wondering, this is what sunrise looked like on top of Troy Hill this morning at 25 degrees. If you notice the details are a bit to be desired because the camera was so cold It did not want to work. I came across this pic on the net.

I would like to be floating alongside that in an innertube and a beer in my hand, a big floppy hat and snoozing.

FYI, my "duckie" HAD a long ponytail/poodleskirt AND a "bird in a gilded-cage" skirt with a SINGING canary in our mis-spent youth AND "polio shoes"/saddle oxfords.
(everyone was very UN-politically correct in those days.)

Btw, I once had a 1957 Rambler REBEL in PINK/BLACK with white, diamond-tufted, leatherette, trimmed with black/pink, interior.
(I thought that i was "quite cool" in those long-ago school DAZE.)

John3 - The closest I will get to California this year is Bismarck ND. Maybe I need to think of more exotic vacations. If I get out that way I will be looking for some time on the water.
