TOPIC: Polaris hydroplane from 1968-70

Does anyone know any history on Polaris boats previous to the "PWC"? The internet is good but I cant find and information on them.

saying that, I have talked to a few people in the beausejour Manitoba Canada area where the northern plant was, two of them were employees. I was told the they made prototype hydroplane twoseater boats to compete with the Seadoo in 1968-1970. however they did not take off and were shelved when the Seadoo was pulled off the market.

In looking for this information I may have found one complete boat in the bush in northern Ontario. getting in direct contact with the owner even to get pictures seems to be quite the task.

So I'm looking for details, information and pictures.

Anything would be a help.
