TOPIC: Cool water skiing!

I got to go skiing this past Sunday (10/21/2012). I have to say it was awesome. No other boats except a couple of fishermen, and people dragging their boats out for the season. Scenery was beautiful! The wetsuit actually works. My wife did a great job of dragging me around. Water temp was 55, air was 60. It was sunny and breezy, but 1/2 the lake was faily calm. Trees and hills blocking the wind. Now how do I find people to go with me for the next few weeks? I seriously am not ready to winterize yet.

Me either Jim, this is one of my favorite times of the year. (No water skiing, but there's no better way to watch the leaves change color than from your Glassic!) "Good on ya" for stretching the season out as long as you can, hope the weather holds out a little longer for you.

We have tried to get a jump start on the season before. Late April and temps about the same as your adventure. Very invigorating to say the least. But nothing a thermos full of hot coffee won't cure. As Mark says, good on ya!!

What lake were you on?

I was on Highland in Winsted. My kids already told me they don't want to go any more.
Weekends are busy now too. Weeknights it is too dark. Maybe I just need to stop working?
I would also love to ski at night under a full moon. Anyone done that before?

I was wondering how that lake is. I did a project in Winsted a few years ago (Explorations Charter School) and drove down to the lake to check it out. Considering it is in the diagonal opposite corner of the state from me, it would take a commitment to get up there, but looked like a nice place.
