I'll see the cabin cruiser again on Thurs. but the manufacturer name eludes me and it's driving me nuts. I feel like jumping in my truck and running back over to the job just to get the name, so I can research it. The boat is a stern drive and San Juan is the model, THE MANUFACTURER NAME STARTED WITH A " D "....Anyone have a clue?

Still not sure, I'm questioning whether or not the manufacturer starts with a D or could it have been an R as in Reinell.Either way I'll figure it out, meanwhile that's a beautiful, well maintained boat you have. Thanks for the response. I'll take some pic's when I get back over to job site. Neat old cabin cruiser, have to relocate raccoon's though! Oh, it is a factory stern drive. Appears to be a mercruiser.

Thanks - its a fun boat and great in the salt water. Since we can't see any of the original thread I guess I can post with-out feeling like I'm stealing the thread.
John : Your Farallon is really different than any that I've seen. They really changed the style in 1967 ? Nice looking boat-
I rally like the Dorsett's Lots of room in the cabin and ride real nice in moderate chop Perfect for the San Juans .

No need to worry about pirating the original thread, I started it before I could identify the Dorsett San Juan next to a job site.
I was lucky to find an awesome community here and other than not getting my pics small enough to post have enjoyed reading and looking at some really interesting threads. I currently own a 1982 22' Mark Twain V-Sonic Escape cabin cruiser.

I found a 120 h.p. San Juan and have an interest in maybe restoring her. I took some pics but seem to have an issue with the size.

Some folks find it easiest to post your pics in one of the free image hosting sites like photobucket, the just copy and paste the link in your post. That way you don't have to worry about the size. Chevy motor - mercruiser. Same motor as a 1962 Chevy Nova 4 Cyl. Makes it real easy to get parts . Cheap and they are everywhere. Attachments: Check this box to be notified of replies to this topic.
