She looks to be in pretty good shape Cal, not much of a challenge for you!  Of course we're interested in any project you take on, what's the plan on this one?

Skip, ya...from Rawhide. I have purchased dozens of items from them over the past 25 years or so. Very nice organization and they help out the troubled kids.

Mark, not a clue, won't know until I open the package at home. You know how those online auctions go, don't know what ya got until you get it home.

Probably follow me home on Thursday.

Nice!

They had an owens cutter there a while ago that I loved- But couldn't figure out transportation in time. They get some cool boats from time to time.

They are less than an hour from my place. Used to go to their in-house auctions which were pretty cut throat. After they went on ebay things became more reasonable.
I've been watching several boats on the site lately and the rough gems would get bid up higher than I was willing to go. All the better for Rawhide though so as they say at Mecum...and the bid goes on.
I still am having visions of the half woodie that Valero posted a few weeks ago. Leaning in that direction.
The motor won't be a problem if it's just a cooling problem and a dirty carb. Compression was right up there and within specs, shifted ok etc.
The Mrs. is already starting the honey-do list for fall, grand kids are involved in cross country, varsity football, volley ball and on and on. The project will be sitting for awhile until I go into hiding for an hour or so and start taking pictures and stripping her down. Things are getting busy for my part-time delivery job and that finances the hobby.
Still have to winterize the Sabre and stuff it in a corner of the shop. It never ends.

Looks to be a nice one Cal. And I know what you mean about "it never ends". Life gets in the way sometimes. ;)

Cal, that looks like a fun project. Yep too many things going at once here too! Have to get the garage back into wood shop mode so I can start on the Century. Wife's been bugging me about it.

Bob, she followed me home today. The picture makes it look nice and shiney but it aint. It's well faded but rock solid. All the brightwork looks like new and real heavy looking stuff. The Floor is solid but I haven't looked too deep at the transom. The boat is heavy glass, realy thick stuff, perfect for what I have in mind.
Going to start a new thread in the "projects".
