TOPIC: Tom's Sea Camper

It ain't Tom's any more, I caught him in a weak moment and we made the deal, I'm planning on having it back in the water mid November, our 8th annual Oklahoma River parade is November 23rd and I plan on taking this boat to that event.

I think it's a 1973 model, and I've not seen one like this one, it's 26ft long, but the extra length is because of the structure added above the waterline at the stern, and it was certianly made that way, not added later, but the top on the back was constructed and added later, but a very good job done on that, I like it.

The boat had a 120 Mercruiser in it initally, but I plan on, two things, moving the transom back to back of the upper structure, and installing a fresh 5.7 vortec sbc and an Alpha One drive assy.

I have removed the air conditioner, and learned it has heat also, good deal, I'm going to move it back a couple feet to where that air scoop is. here's a link to the build page.

Hi Bill, I've not found any catfish, but I did find a big ole red wasp nest the first day, just got stung once, and a yellow jacket nest next day, got stung twice by the yellow jackets, they're quicker. Been a long time since I been stung by a wasp, the red one hurt worse and made a whelp twice the size of both yellow jackets, but those guy's ain't so tough, just one shot of berrymans b-12 and they hit the deck, I got a few of them in flight, they went down in a flat spin, I got joy out of sweeping them up and tossing them in the trash can with no last words.

When I was working I loved doing stinging insects the best.
