TOPIC: 2013 Classic Boat Calendar Drive...

hello fellow boaters, I'm going to start the 2013 calendar drive a little earlier this year. i want to have them all mailed out by dec. 1st. I discussed paying by pay-pal with Ken last year but it would of added at least $1 to the cost, so i'm continuing with personal checks or money orders. The cost this year will be $16ea., down a little from last year. I'm expecting a minimum of 50 calendars ordered. Last year was our highest ordered at over 100.

Our themes in prior years have been boats,motors,trailers and hardware. This year anything goes, as long as it has to do with boating.

You can start sending me pics immediately and they should be around 800x600 for best clarity. The first 48 received will be in the calendar.

This years cover shot will come from Silker Memorial Marine Museum in Minnesota. Bob purchased over 30 calendars last year so i thought he was deserving. I will update orders weekly. As i did last year any overage will be donated to FiberGlassics. thankyou, Ron

HOTRODS AND PERFORMANCE BOATS
I had a nice chat with Ron last night and talked to him about this years theme. Being I will be putting together a cover shot with 60s and 70s performance boats I would love to see the same from you guys. Bill Anderson Get that Powercat out and Ponyboy break out the twins. All you guys get out your hotrod boats and as Ken put it if you have a hotrod car and boat lets see that bad boy. I am going to hit up the guys on Scream and Fly, Powercat boats and Drag Boats too. A calendar with colorful hotrod go fast boats with killer power is what I would love to see. Old Hydros, U2s, G3s, Powercats, V bottom Drag boats. Anything that has big power and flys. Ron I think this is a great honor allowing us to head it off this year so Boys dig out your toys. We need 48 boats so that should be easy knowin you guys.

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Ron, I have a hot rod boat, I'll get ya a pic tonight, a recent one if I can, but I'm at work and don't wanna miss out!

It will be even more of a hot rod boat next year if I can get my stupid act together. Sheesh!

I dont know John how big is the boat? :-D 50 could be a hotrod if its a small boat!

doesn't have to be a hot rod john...mine is far from that also.lol....its that we're inviting hot rod boats also to make sure we get 48 pics. it seems every year i have to email people at the closing date to fill the calendar. this is open to everybody. i would never discriminate against any classic boat, especially my best bud's. ron

Well I don't think mine qualifies either but i did just repaint eh Fat Fifty cover, just have to put the "Bling" back on her and take a good pic of the boat finished on the redone trailer. I do have a real cool pic of the wood boat called "Hot Wood" from the Century Boat CLub Thuroughbred Roundup from last year but I don;t know the owner and wouldn't want to post it without permission from them.

What about a pic of many restored Glasspar G-3s at our Lake Roy meet in Winter Haven, Fl.???? My self and Chuck Wallace with our 1960 G-3s!!

As of this morning Ron has the cover shot for the calendar now.


The boats used are, In the back, 1963 Powercat 18c, triple 1963 Merc 1000s, On left 1968 Regetta Race hull, 1957 Mark 75 with Quincy Pipes, Center, 1961 Hydrocraft Fantasy 15, Twin 1964 75hp McCulloch's, On right, 1963 Corsair Flat bottom drag hull, 1963 Merc 1000. All set with a beautiful wooded fall colors background. I will let Ron deeside if he wants to post it as a preview.

I also put in a preliminary order of 10 calendars too. I expect that number to grow by the end of the month.


Jim your pics will be perfect just what my customers want to see. Again boys dig out those hotrods.

I will be working on 2 different pics for the calendar one a car and boat combo and something else fun.

maybe there is a misunderstanding. this is a classic boat calendar. however if your classic car is paired with a classic boat then its eligible. we have 24 to date...need 24 more. ron

Check's in the mail for a 2013 calendar. I'm going out in a little while and take a couple shots of my Glasspar Delmar hooked to my 53 Plymouth wagon. I'll send you a couple shots if they come out ok.
