TOPIC: 1960 SR600...final installment

1960 SR600...final installment 12 years 3 weeks ago #69221

Back from Knoxville ...what a time !!!
Took what I consider 2nd place in the competition behind Bob Walsh's 808. What a nice unrestored survivor that boat is.
but here are some completely finished pics of my Sea Ray
hope you enjoy...

It will also be featured in Soundings and Sea Ray Living magazines
and possibly a couple others
I think I won the bragging rights to
"the most photographed Sea Ray on the planet" since Thursday

\"too soon old,too late smart\" my pap

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“

That is a great looking boat- And a well deserved award... I always hate it when you're judged alongside a 'survivor', as there is no accounting for all the work that you did to save her. Those old sea rays aren't too common any more!

Well, you're right Jim. I did buy mine. Did I have to put all the work into it that you put in yours? Certainly not! Did I have to put the work into it to get it to look this way and keep it looking this way? Of course! Anybody that owns a boat and keeps it looking good knows that it is a ongoing love affair. I don't know who the people were that voted for the awards and, quite frankly, I don't care. I was there to have a good time and meet and greet some of the people that make Sea Ray what it is today. Didn't plan on winning anything and "Best In Show" was the icing on the cake. I was just excited to be there. I think they both looked great sitting in front of World Headquarters.
