TOPIC: KevFin's Beloit Show Video

I think the Show and the video turned out real nice and hope you all like it. This video will be added as a bonus feature to the upcoming release of the entire American Classic Speedboat Series on a single Blu-ray disc.

(I didn't cover Kevin's boats in this video because there's years of coverage over at boatsinthebelfry.com) That Glass Slipper in the background will be featured in upcoming videos. No worries.

Well, YouTube is really littered up now and they changed their policies recently which limits my videos to under 15 minutes. This video is 19 minutes. I'll embed the video into a page on Kevins's site and provide a link to that. You may need to have the K-lite codec pack to play mp4 videos in HTML5 players. The reason for changing videos all around is the browser wars. All the browsers are pushing one video codec at the expense of others. Apple is trying to dump Adobe formats like flash and pdf files. The HTML5 players are usually universal (with flash fallback) So, for now try using a different browser. And download the free k-lite codec pack. The video plays for me in Explorer 9 64bit and Google Chromefrom this link.

OK, played fine in FireFox, just ie being ie. I still have 8, even on the Windows 7 machine, (don't ask, the wife doesn't like change).

Great boats. Really liked the water shots. Better than seeing them sitting on a trailer.

Kinda takes both. There's been a lot of boats that were worth recording like KevFin's Lonestar Meteor that have never been touched by water. Some boats aren't completed, some are meant for display only, etc etc. Also, it's hard to discuss fine detailing and restoration techniques over the sound of an outboard. So, I'm especially grateful to all the folks who let me ride in the boats and worked as chase boats for footage over the last 12 years. I'm equally grateful for the walk 'n talk interviews.
