TOPIC: mantaray gets a bath...

we spent 3 hours on lake hopatcong yesterday. boat ran great after i removed a bucket of weeds from the prop. couldn't figure out why it would rev up but not move over 5mph, so we trolled back to the ramp and discoverd the mass beneath the cav plate. i thot i had spun the hub. had one scary moment when i went airborne over a pontoons boat wake at full throttle. the wife and i both s---. it had to be at least 18" high and it landed with a thud. i still haven't checked out how much longer the gelcoat cracks got. only used 6 gal. of fuel, was happy bout that. can't wait to get out again at the knucklebusters aomci meet the first saturday in october, then to moodas resovoir in connecticut the following weekend.
a launch ramp happening...as i was waiting my turn at the ramp a guy pulled his boat out then preceded to cover it,install his transom saver, and wipe it down without pulling it off to the side. there he was blocking the one lane ramp not giving a sh-- about the others waiting to get out. he was there at least 15 minutes. some people have no clue. ron
oh it cost $25 to launch...ouch!

Great to hear you were finally able to get her out Ron, that's great.
Ramp etiquette (or lack there of, really) seems to be worse on holiday weekends, it's part of the reason I won't go out then.
Guess I should appreciate the $3 to $5 ramp fees here, that's outrageous IMO!

i know mark..its outrageous, but its close 45 min.ride. i could launch for free in pennsy but its a 2 1/2 ride. at the aomci meet at the same marina it'll be free.
